Mini-Z Racing on hiatus
It looks like the Mini-Z racing is going the way of the 1/10 touring car - at least for now. There are no races scheduled at this time.

Mini-Z Racing
We actually had to run 2 classes for Mini-Z this past weekend - how cool is that? It was great to see Mongo back, and even though he claims he hasn't touched a transmitter in over a year, it took him about 3 laps in a Mini-Z to get it figured out and throw down some awesome laps.
See yall in a couple of weeks!

No Race this Weekend
Due to the general "busy-ness" of Christmas, we will not be racing this weekend. The next race is scheduled for January 5.

First Official Mini-Z Race Completed
We raced Mini-Z's in the shop this past weekend, and it was really a lot of fun... Alabama vs LSU playing on the computer, thanks to Rick and Jay's Slingbox and Orb setups, so we didn't even miss any football (although I wish I had missed it...). The scoring system worked perfectly - there really is no problem with installing personal transponders in these cars, and they work great!
If you have a 1/28 scale ride, come on out!
If you don't have one yet, get one - you won't regret it!

Winter Schedule Posted
We now have the winter schedule posted on the schedule page. The time is listed as 6pm - The store closes at 5, and that is when registration will begin - once registration is over, we will setup the track and start racing basically as soon as we can - expected to be around 6. It is also listed as Mini-Z, but it is not exclusive to the Kyosho cars - we'll run any 1/24 scale stuff, and base classes off how things run together.

Great Day at the Fairgrounds
We had a great day at the fairgrounds today. While it wasn't an A-Train Racing Club Race, we did help out some folks that were putting on a race out there. Thanks to everyone that came out and raced - Nitro Monster trucks running on a concrete oval? Are you kidding me? It was a really good race that had several lead changes and tons of excitement. We also had Nitro pan cars and Nitro touring cars that put on a great show. This was sort of an exhibition race for the City of Birmingham, but I'm certain it won't be the last race held there. I know I look forward to the next one, and I hope we can have an even larger turnout next time. (How about it, electric car/truck folks?)

Too Hot for Racing ?
The weather is nuts - what about possibly running Mini-Z instead of 1/10 this weekend - or maybe a very simple 1/10 layout, at least... Head over to the schedule area in the forums and let's talk about it...

Mini-Z's come to A-Train!
A-Train Racing now has a Mini-Z track, so if you don't have your Mini-Z yet, what are you waiting for? Head over to the forums where we have a new area for Mini-Z talk and let's start racing indoors!
